Room 6 Earthquake Plan

Dear Parents & Caregivers

Room 6 have projects underway to help support the people effected by the earthquake. We need YOUR help!

Water Bottles

As part of our plan room 6 have decided to fill Water bottles to give to welfare centers around Christchurch to help with disaster relief in the City.

Mufti-day fundraiser

We are also fundraising for the Christchurch victims by having a black and red Mufti
day. Students will wear black and red representing Canterbury.
There will be activities taking place during this spectacular day that will help our children
to feel relief from the latest earthquake. These activities will take place during lunch and morning tea.
Mufti day will be one gold coin per each student.
There will be a bake sale taking place, with prices from 50c to $2.00.
This event will take place on Wednesday 2nd of march 2011.

Food, clothing and bedding

Room 6 are collecting donations of food from the Burnham Community.
We would like you to bring canned food and pet food (no jars) and we will also accept clothes and bedding. We would like these by Thursday 3rd of March. Could you please bring it within the hours of 8:15 - 9:30Am and 2:30-4:00pm.

Rememberance Wreath

On Tuesday we will be making a wreath to be placed to show our respect for the people who have passed away due to the Earthquake. If you have spare flowers in your gardens we would love you to send them in so we can make the wreath.

Baking

Please send any baking you wish to donate to Room 6 on Wednesday morning.

The children of Room 6 appreciate that our community is busy at the moment
and ask for you to only do what you are able.

Kind regards

Room 6
